Alumni Memories

No history is complete without an oral as well as written tradition. What are your memories of your days writing and working on the paper?

This site will be collecting essays from alumni that can be archived here. Contribute as little or as much as you'd like. Suggested topics could include:

  1. What were the major events during your years at Georgetown?
  2. Who were some memorable faculty of administrators that were covered in the paper?
  3. What memories do you have about a particular story or interview?
  4. Describe the members of your contemporary editorial board.
  5. Have you kept in touch with fellow writers and editors? What are they doing today?
  6. For our coed-era alumni, did you ever date a member of The HOYA? (Or The Voice?)
  7. What are your lasting memories of your years on The HOYA?
  8. What advice would you give to today's staff and editors?

Send your thoughts in a Microsoft Word attachment to info@hoyaalumni.com and we'll add your thoughts to this page. Be sure to include your name, school and class year, the editorial or staff position and years you worked on, the paper, and what you are doing today.
