Georgetown Basketball History: Georgetown Athletic Hall Of Fame

The outstanding student athletes, coaches, and contributors to over 130 years of intercollegiate competition are enshrined in Georgetown's Athletic Hall of Fame. Founded in 1953, the Hall was given a permanent home in the Leavey Center in 1994. Visitors can tour a series of bronze relief plaques with the names of over 200 Georgetown men and women so honored.

Hall of Fame honorees are selected by a committee of Georgetown athletics officials and alumni, and are inducted every other year at a dinner and ceremonies in the Leavey Center. Honorees are selected at least fifteen years after their year of graduation or retirement from coaching at the University. The next Hall of Fame induction is scheduled for 2010.
