Standing just 5-8, Alonzo ("Cheese") Holloway made a big impression as a freshman for the 1973-74 Hoyas, averaging 6.9 points per game, with a season high of 16 points versus Siena.

Without fanfare, Holloway did not return to the Hoyas in 1974-75, heading north to Division III Roger Williams College, where he played for three seasons. In later years, Holloway served in the D.C. Department of Recreation as well as a college basketball referee in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference.
