• THE GEORGETOWN BASKETBALL HISTORY PROJECT

Demian Bolden (1996-1999)

A three year walk-on, Demian Bolden saw action in 24 games, with majority of his action as a junior, averaging 2.3 points per game in 16 appearances. Bolden was the only basketball player in the John Thompson era to earn his degree from the School of Foreign Service.

Following graduation, Bolden has worked in event marketing and brand partnerships in social media. His Linkedin bio, reads, in part, "In addition to my academic admission to the university, I was a walk-on on the men's varsity basketball team, lettering for 3 years and being named to the Big East All-Academic team as a junior. During my time at Georgetown I successfully balanced my academic responsibilities, significant basketball commitments, employment (I was a non-scholarship athlete) and a healthy social life resulting in a well rounded collegiate experience that made me supremely adept at managing dynamic responsibilities and working under pressure and resource constraints."
